RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Leave of absence will be granted only on written request from parent/guardian. The same should be entered in the school diary.
  • A student who has been continuously absent for 5 consecutive working days are obliged to submit medical certificate.
  • Students with less than 80 % attendance will not be allowed to take the annual examination.
  • Continuous absence for 15 days with out permission will lead to the removal of the pupil from rolls. However the student can be re-admitted by the Principal if she is satisfied with the explanation given by the parent paying the admission fee.
  • All students are expected to participate actively in the morning assembly.
  • Students should prepare well as per assembly roster for presenting items in the morning assembly.
  • Perfect discipline should be maintained while coming to the ground and going back.
  • Students should come to the assembly ground with their class teacher in an orderly manner.
  • The prayer, National Anthem, Pledge etc. has to be sung with real spirit.
  • Silence Should be strictly observed in the library.
  • Students should not bring any book of their own into the library except notebooks to write library notes.
  • Books will be issued to students regularly as per library rules.
  • Books must be returned within a week.
  • Students can renew a book for a further period if that book is not in demand.
  • The librarian may call for a book at any time even if the normal period of loan has not expired.
  • Books lost by the student must be replaced / pay three times the cost of the book.
  • If damaged they must be repaired. Late fee will be Re. 1/- per day.
  • It is strictly forbidden to tear a leaf, write any remarks in a book or to underline the words. If there are such writings in a book already or leaf is torn, it should be shown to the librarian immediately on receipt of the book and not later.
  • Proper care should be taken of the books which are taken home or read in the library.
  • Reference books, Dictionaries and encyclopedias etc. cannot be taken home.
  • Students should not exchange library books among themselves.
  • Students should keep the newspapers, magazines etc. in proper places after use.
  • All library books should be returned atleast one week before Terminal & Annual Examinations.
  • Violating the rules of Library will lead to cancellation of your membership.
  • Class library books should be read by all students and prepare library note.
  • Observe complete discipline while doing practicals.
  • Follow the instructions given by the teacher incharge.
  • Be responsible for any breakage or loss of the apparatus taken for the experiment.
  • Report every breakage or loss immediately to the teacher incharge of lab assistant.
  • Bring to the laboratory proper record books and observation note books.
  • Hand over the chemicals and apparatus taken for the experiments to the teacher incharge after use.
  • Handle the equipments and chemicals with care.
  • Follow the Safety rules strictly.
  • The School expect students to maintain a high profile of general behaviour.
  • All students must speak in English inside the school campus. Try to extend this habit outside also.
  • Students must reach the school in time and attend the assembly regularly. Maintain perfect discipline.
  • Strictly follow the health and hygiene rules. Boys cut your hair regularly. Girls have to plait their hair and tie with ribbons.
  • All students are informed to bring their lunch. No body is allowed to go out for lunch.
  • Students who reach the school late has to wait near the gate. The duty teacher will enter their names in late reporting register and sign in their diary.
  • Students should be in proper and neat uniform on all working days including school functions and examinations.
  • Students should be polite, friendly and well behaved in and outside the school. They should be respectful to their elders and teachers.
  • In the absence of a teacher the class prefect assumes the responsibility of maintaining discipline. She/he is not permitted to punish the students.
  • Students found damaging furniture and electrical fittings will be dealt Severely. The damage to the school property must be made good by the parent of that particular student. The decision of the Principal regarding the amount to be paid will be final.
  • Students must not leave the class room without the permission of the teacher.
  • No books or materials other than text books, class note books and writing materials shall be brought to the school.
  • Mobile phone, Cassettes, Magazines, Playing cards etc. should not be brought to school. If found and collected by the Teachers or Principal will not be returned to the students.
  • The students should be keep their class room, black board, Varandhas and school campus clean and tidy. Throwing papers through windows are punishable. Waste materials should be deposited in the dust bin.
  • Students should actively participate in Co-curricular activities, School functions, Tour programmes etc.
  • Students are not allowed to wear gold and precious ornaments except ear studs.
  • Collect the text books, note books, and stationay items from school store.
  • Complete the home works and class assignments regularly. Students standing outside the class rooms due to punishment given by teachers are answerable to the Principal
  • Study your lessons regularly and complete the home works at home. Take the class tests and exams seriously.
  • Discipline should be maintained during assembly, class hours intervals, lunch breaks and leaving time.
  • Stand in queue while entering in to the school bus, paying fee collecting things from the store and washing place.
  • Students are themselves responsible for their belongings such as books, umbrella, tiffin boxes etc.
  • Students should not bring money to school without reason. If any body brought money for paying fee, it should be paid immediately after reaching the school. School is not responsible for the lose of money or valuable articles.
  • Students should be well disciplined while travelling in school bus.
  • Annual promotion will be based on the marks and grades obtained for all the evaluations.
  • Those absent from an examination without reason will not be considered for promotion. No re-test will be conducted for such students. Medical certificates is compulsory for those students.
  • Students are not permitted to use calculators and correction ink during examinations.
  • Carrying forbidden materials in the examination hall accounts to malpractice.
  • Students are not allowed to appear for the exam without paying the school fee.
  • A student should have 80 % attendance for attending the Annual Examination.
  • Merit certificates will be awarded to those students who score A+ in all subjects in all the examinations.
  • Students suffering from infectious diseases will not be allowed to appear for the examination.
  • If a student is found using unfair means during an examination, she/he will be disqualified.
  • Good education is the joint effort of the school and the parents. So full Co-operation of the parents is earnestly solicited.
  • Please avoid comparing your child with other children as each child is unique with different interests, skills and talents.
  • If your child has habits or traits of character which needs special care, the matter may be reported to the Principal and Teachers.
  • Parents should kindly see that their children attend the school regularly and in time.
  • Parents should make sure that their children are submitting the home works, assignments, copy writings etc. as per the scheduled date.
  • Parents should willingly co-operate with the school authorities by permitting their children to participate in school functions and other activities.
  • You are requested to go through your child’s diary daily.
  • If there is any infectious disease at home or your child, parents should report the fact to the principal at once and dont send your child to school.
  • Parents are requested not to visit the classes during class hours. However they may visit the school and contact the Principal and teachers during visiting hours with prior permission from the Principal.
  • Parents should not meet the teachers without Principal’s permission. They are not allowed to go to the classes or staff room directly. Whatever be the matter, it should go through the Principal only.
  • Always pay the fees and other dues in time to avoid embarrassment to the child.
  • Help the child to correct the behaviour as and when required.
  • Ensure that the child has all the prescribed books as well as stationary requirements. Do not encourage the habit of borrowing.
  • Don’t allow the child to bring mobile phone to school. If found, the mobile phones will be confiscated and not be returned.
  • Students found with fire crackers/ explosives / objectionable materials in the school will be expelled from the school.
  • Attend all the parents meeting (General and Open House) and get the feed back of your child’s progress and performance.
  • The report cards and answer sheets will be handed over to the parents only through Open House. Parents attendance during the Open Houses and Parents meetings are compulsory. Due to any reason, if a parent can’t attend the open House the matter should be intimated to the Principal well in advance.
  • Arts and Sports competitions will be conducted house wise (not class wise).
  • Whenever need arises, special classes will be conducted on holidays. Make sure that your child attend such classes.
  • It is compulsory for the parents to meet the Principal / Teachers on request.
  • Obey the rules of the school.
  • Be regular and punctual to school.
  • Keep your hands and face washed and your hair brushed.
  • Keep your dress and books neat and tidy.
  • Keep the class room, premises and own belongings neat and tidy.
  • Maintain total discipline in the class and in the campus.
  • Be polite and courteous to your peers.
  • Wish your teachers in and out of school.
  • Be respectful and obedient to the officials, Teachers and other Staff of the school.
  • Avoid using foul language, playing rough games, quarrelling and fightings in the school campus.
  • Develop healthy competition and systematic learning atmosphere in the school.
  • Never omit a lesson or home work assigned.
  • Always revise the work done in the class and solve your difficulties with the help of teachers, friends and parents.
  • If memory work is assigned, learn it over night and repeat it first in the morning.
  • Revise at the end of the week all that was learnt during the week.
  • Make a daily home timetable for yourself. In this way you learn to be a student of regular habits, a most valuable asset in later life.
  • Realize the value of time. The key to success is regular, timely and sincere work.
  • Put waste papers and fruit peels in dust bins.
  • Do not play or run on the varandhas and classrooms.
  • Say “ please” and “Thank You” whenever you deal with others.
  • Do not look into class rooms as you pass by.
  • Do not ride bicycle or any other vehicle on the school ground.
  • Behave and speak politely with everyone.
  • Cover your lunch box with a towel.
